Doube B’s! Brilliance & Burnsie!

After loss number 7 in a row for The Wild last night, one can only sit and ponder, what could have been, and what is going on here?!

There were so many signs of brilliance throughout the season. Kyle Brodziak coming out of his “nice guy” shell. The highly anticipated return of Pierre-Marc Bouchard, as we watched him progress back to the “Butch” we all remembered. [ see -> return of putting the puck in net, Spin-O-Rama style, against Nikolai Khabibulin, this time with only seconds left in the period! Wow! ] The familiar 15 game waiting period, as Martin Havlat decided to finally play hockey again. The burst from “little” Jared Spurgeon, that no one saw coming, not even Chuck Fletcher I would bet. Our Captain Mikko Koivu, doing what he does best, owning every inch of the ice, game after game after game. Cal Clutterbuck, not only being the hits leader in the league, but highest goal scorer for The Wild. Who would have guessed that?! When they finally let Todd Richard‘s system possess their souls, and the gut wrenching trap seemed that it was gone for good!  So many things this year, that could have, and should have stuck around for the season once they found it.

And continued…..

Hopefully Burns will be gone and we can get something for him. If Havlat has decided to play again, Burns has stopped dead in his tracks. I don’t see what he really brings to this team. It takes a lot more than Koivu to make a team. Koivu would be a second liner on another team and he know it, thats why he signed for the big bucks to stay here. Havlat’s the only real skills player on this team. Why Richrds refuses to put him on the first line and plays Bruno so Koivu can do his usual feed the puck to him behind the net is getting old really fast.
