Mandatory Credit: Scott Rovak-USA TODAY SportsAccording to the team’s website, the Minnesota Wild have recalled forwards Zack Phillips, Justin Fontaine, Brett Bulmer and Chad Rau, defenseman Kyle Medvec and goalie Jeff Deslauriers, who was acquired at this year’s trade deadline. The Star Tribune’s Michael Russo confirms the news, as well.

What does it mean? Minnesota has six more “Black Aces” in the hole for their playoff run. That’s about it. It should be noted, however, that this is the first NHL call-up for Phillips, drafted 28th overall in 2011, and Fontaine, an undrafted free agent signing out of the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

The NHL also announced this afternoon that Game Five of Minnesota’s Western Conference Quarterfinal series with the Chicago Blackhawks will be played at 8:30pm Central Time Thursday, May 9th at Chicago’s United Center. The game will be broadcasted locally on Fox Sports North and KFAN 100.3 FM, and will be broadcasted on NBC Sports Network nationally.
