The Minnesota Wild have unveiled the new white road jersey at the Minnesota State Fair by the Fan Central building.  The team has been calling it the “White Hot” jersey and they are correct.  I love the new look . The Numbers on the Sleeve are a great addition along with reducing the green to just the shoulder saddle from the previous full length. Moving the patches from the arm to the green saddle also works.  Large red block numbers are on the clean looking back. I’ve always been a fan of lace up sweaters so now the team is 3 for 3 in that category. It’s a great looking sweater with a timeless look designed by the Wild’s Creative services team and according to the Wild, “used season ticket holder feedback during the 18- month design and prototype process.”  Wild players Stephane Veilleux and Nino Niederreiter were the on site models for the jersey unveiling that took place in front of a huge crowd.  Early reactions to the new sweater have been overwhelmingly positive from the people I have spoken to.  The jerseys will be made by Reebok and are available exclusively at the Wild’s Hockey Lodge stores at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Maplewood Mall and Burnsville Center from September 3-7 and online at stateofhockeystare.com   Wild.com says,

“The new road jersey follows the more classic design style of the red home jersey unveiled in 2003 and the green alternate jersey unveiled in 2009. The jersey keeps the primary Wild logo at the center of the sweater and features Iron Range Red numbers and collar, including Minnesota Wild text hidden on the inside of the collar. Additional features of the new jersey are Forest Green lettering, a traditional lace-up collar in classic Wild Forest Green and the Wild circle crest as a shoulder patch. The new road uniforms include Forest Green stripes on the arms and waist of the jersey, as well as on the new white socks”.
