Monday’s preseason game against the Pittsburgh Penguins showed much promise for the Minnesota Wild faithful. The Wild’s top line, PariseGranlundPominville, produced all four goals, three of them from Jason Pominville. Darcy Kuemper looked strong in net stopping 32 of Pittsburgh’s 33 shots as the Wild won their second consecutive game improving their preseason record to 2-2.

One of the highlights of the Monday’s game wasn’t Pominville’s hat trick, however, it was Ilya Bryzgalov taking selfies with fans in the third period. Fans lined the aisle behind the Wild bench to get a selfie with Bryzgalov which lead to many happy fans, even if there was a pane of glass separating them. As Pominville netted his third goal of the game, which was an empty-net goal, Bryzgalov through his hat on the ice. When Michael Russo, of the Star Tribune, asked Mike Yeo of Bryzgalov’s selfies and hat throwing he chuckled and said, “No comment.”
