Third Star: Marco Scandella

This past week, blue-liner Marco Scandella only registered one point and garnered a $2755.38 fine for an illegal check to the head of St. Louis Blues’ forward T.J. Oshie. But his lone point came via his second overtime goal on the season, when he scored against the Dallas Stars on Friday night. The 24-year-old defenseman who recently signed a five-year, 20-million dollar contract extension now has five goals to go along with three assists in 21 games this season.

Second Star: Jason Zucker

Jason Zucker continued his strong start to the season by notching three goals and one assist in his last four games. He threw a career-high nine shots on goal last Monday in a 4-1 win over the Florida Panthers. Zucker has been using his speed effectively and taken advantage of playing alongside Mikko Koivu.

First Star: Zach Parise

Zach Parise hit a milestone against St. Louis on Saturday with his 250th career goal. Over the four games last week, Parise found the back of the net twice and added three assists. He is now sitting at 18 points in 18 games this year.
