Report: Zidlicky close to re-signing with Wild

"Marek Zidlicky is in the final year of his contract and the Ottawa Sun reports the veteran defenseman could sign a new three-year deal with Minnesota.Zidlicky, who currently has a cap hit of $3.35 million, is expected to receive a raise, be it with the Wild or on the open market this July. According to the Sun, several teams, including the Senators, have inquired about Zidlicky’s availability and if a new contract isn’t signed in the coming days, there’s a chance the Wild pulls the trigger on a trade. Zidlicky’s new contract could fall within the $4 million per year range."
