The 3 T’s.

Since we are yet again unable to see any broadcasts on our glorious HDTVs, I can only say this about what I have read, First off, the roster is here. Sounds as if they are doing pretty good so far with a 2-0 record. And the Rangers tomorrow afternoon. I wish I could see J.T. Barnett again. At the rookies training camp this year, he was damn good for a kid of 17. Gutsy, pesty, and in your face, and the kid can skate. Great to see him at the tournament with us. He even has a decent set of hands for being so young. I was very impressed with him that day. More so than any other player. I could not stop watching this kid.

Casey Wellman and Nate Prosser as well. They dazzled me last year when they came on board. From coming straight out of college, to the BIG league, due to our injuries, we got a glimpse of them. Wellman is just fast. This kid does not skate, he glides effortlessly, as it appears to me. And hands? A couple years and they could be considered lethally sick. Prosser is the superb D man to replace Leddy. Now don’t get all bent out of shape on this comment. Prosser is much better, much more experienced, and not made of glass as Leddy is. I prefer a D man that can take it, and dish it out in the corners. Leddy was not that guy. A Minny guy that replaces another Minny guy. All of Minny should rejoice! We win huge with Prosser here. He could be from Croatia and it would not matter to me.

Then we have Marco Scandella. What I saw of him in JRs, he is a beast, and is only going to get better. I do not see our D going down anytime soon. I only see these guys getting into Mr. Fletcher’s head so he cannot sleep at night.

Cody Almond. I have never been overly impressed with him as I am with the fore mentioned. I cannot pinpoint it yet, but he is not as good as I hear people “bragging” him up. He tends to let up when he should be forcing a play. His vision is not out of the ordinary, and his hands are not anything special I don’t get it.

Then we have out goaltending situation in the tournament. I know I was impressed with Kuemper at camp. It sounds like he was on his head all night playing against the Blue Jackets. Rock on Darcy. My goaltender fetish believes!

And one more. Brett Bulmer. This kid just kicks ass. Gritty and relentless. He never quits, and will drop his gloves, if you give him reason. Total win/win situation.

I will not get into any other players. These were, and are my favourite rookies that I watched at camp. Colton Gilles, Tyler Cuma, and Chad Rau, move over.

One more win and we are in the finals. Go boys go!

AND NHL Network has said it “may” broadcast some of these games next year. Nice! If you look around you can catch a few online. Google Google Google! If I hear of any I will post them here. RIGHT NOW 9-13-10 9:45pm CST Canucks/Sharks. Who do you cheer for?

Training Camp Minnesota Wild!

Camp opens on Friday, FOUR DAYS! Open practice/scrimmage on Sunday 10-12! I will be there! A 35 man roster! I want to see ALL of them! Hockey season is here! Fletcher has his work cut out for him. I see a lot good things this year. So much depth that we are not used to. When Chuck took over I said give it 2 years. I have changed to 3. So look out NHL, we are going to bust some balls after 2 more seasons. This season is just going to be a preview!

Tickets!

Tickets went on sale last Friday. Thursday for those of you that heard about the pre-sale. I have my 7 game must sees. First off, if you have never went to a Wild/Predators game, they are a must see live. Always fast, high scoring, and a few fights. Now that we have Staubitz and Nystrom, I bet a few will not be enough. If you have never watched the Staubitz/Tootoo fight, look it up on youtube. I want round 2! What better way to spend a New Years Eve?! Actually it is an early game. But with Reids right down the road, it is just an awesome New Year! The other must haves are Flyers (duh), Canucks, Oilers (opener), Stars (last regular season game) 2 Predators games, and help me the Red Wings. MUST try and jaw Bertuzzi!

Now to see at least 25 games this season. Traveling I hope to see quite a few. Does it matter who is playing? Absolutely not! I prefer to see my boys, but when in a strange land, you cannot always be so picky…

Bring it on NHL!
