Wild Scrimmage!

So I am up at 4:30 AM, dressed in my Zanon jersey and ready to go the scrimmage. It does not start for another 6 hours! I slept for maybe 3 hours. This is the day I become alive again. Hockey season is here. My boys will be at the X to play a scrimmage. Only 4 days from pre-season. Am I ready? I have been ready for over 3 months!
I always look forward to these scrimmages. So much you do not get a chance to see through the year. The guys that will play on the Aeros, as well as a few prospects. I love watching the “kids” move up. This is what makes me a season ticket holder to the Minnesota State University Mankato Mavericks. Although there isn’t a lot of “claim to fames” for MSU, I will no doubt claim the Inglorious Backes” any day of the week! I remember watching him and thinking to myself “he will not be here long!” He was always a force to be reckoned with. He still is.
Now up to a 51 man roster. Totally awesome! And this is supposed to last 2 hours? I am thinking more like 3. No J.T. Barnett though. I cannot lie, I am a bit upset with this. I may not be a scout, or anything close to Mr. Fletcher, but I do know J.T. Barnett is going somewhere. I just hope it is with The Wild. I will throw something if he ends up with someone else. Please help me if it the Vancouver Canucks or the Pittsburgh Penguins!
I will be watching everyone today, and then some. Have to see what we have in store for this season. My mind is racing now, just wait until I get to the X. I don’t really have anyone on the top of my list to watch. Just going to sit (possibly) and take it all in. Looking forward to seeing Cullen out there for sure. Who wouldn’t? He will bring so much to our team this year. Leadership, speed, CUP, scoring ability (not 40 silly, but 7 or 8 20 point guys on a team is good too) and add a touch of grit. Again, Minny boy. Who really cares!
I will write up everything I see tonight when I get home. And add lots of pictures!
