Scott will have the game recap up shortly, but I couldn’t help but voice how proud I am of this team. For the first time since I have been a fan, the Minnesota Wild have made the playoffs. And what better way to ring in the new realignment than with a Wild/Blackhawks playoff series. I don’t know if Minnesota can win the Cup; in fact, I don’t expect them to. However, this is one hockey writer that can’t wait to see Minnesota compete for the ultimate pinacle in all of professional hockey. It’s a hard feeling to describe, and it’s best described through film.

Congratulations, Chuck Fletcher, Mike Yeo, Mikko Koivu, Zach Parise, Ryan Suter, Niklas Backstrom and Co. You’ve made the playoffs–now the real season begins.
