You Could Be The Minnesota Wild’s 10 Millionth Fan!

YOU could be the Minnesota Wild’s 10-Millionth Fan and win a great prize package, if you attend the Minnesota Wild’s next home game on December 29 against the New York Isanders.  The total number of fans who have passed through the gates of the Xcel Energy Center stands at 9,986,408 as of Tuesday’s game against the Vancouver Canucks.  The person designated as the 10,000,000th fan on the 29th will win a prize package including;  a custom Wild 10 Millionth Fan jersey, a team-signed hockey stick, four tickets to the Minnesota Wild game against the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday afternoon, March 22 at Xcel Energy Center and four tickets to the Big Ten Championship Game that same Saturday night  at Xcel Energy Center.

The 13,592th person through the gates on December 29th for the game against the New York Islanders will be the 10,000,00th fan.  That total started climbing with the first preseason game the Minnesota Wild played against, as they were known then, The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim on September 29th 2000.  Since that game the Wild have played 36 preseason, 493 regular season and 15 playoff games at the Xcel Energy Center.  That’s an average of 18,357 fans through the gates each time the Wild have taken to their home ice.  The Minnesota Wild have played to sold out crowds 486 times over the last 13 years.  The current capacity for hockey games at the “X” is 17,954.  Before the introduction of the Loge Seating area on the Club Level in 20112, total capacity was 18,568.
