Watch Every Goal Cody McCormick Scored For The Wild Last Season

If I had thought about it before getting this deep into the every goal by every player thing, I probably wouldn’t have gone alphabetically because that means that Zenon Konopka is followed by Cody McCormick. A strange illuminati conspiracy? Maybe.

Think about it.

Both scored one regular season goal for the Wild. Both played for the Buffalo Sabres at some point last season. Both don’t score many goals in general. Both, umm…., have rabbits. Well, at least one of them does. Get a rabbit Cody McCormick. Get a rabbit.

And don’t get me started on all the triangles. They’re everywhere and it’s not a coincidence.

Ok. I usually fill this space with some sort of look back through a player’s season, but McCormick barely played for the Wild and then re-signed with the Sabres once free agency hit… Wait! Maybe that’s the conspiracy! Everyone on the Sabres has to have played at least one game for the Wild. Johan Larsson, Matt Hackett, Torrey Mitchell, Matt Moulson, Cody McCormick….

So, what to say about McCormick’s season with the Wild… I think he was a possession superstar, despite…uh…bad zone starts and lousy quality of…what was it?…teammates?…. His Corsi… Um… I mean, Fenwick… Gah! Extra Skater is gone forever and we’ll never know anything again…

His second of the year, first for the Wild. Seems unfair when he only scored two regular season goals to exclude one of them because it was for a different team, but life is unfair.

And McCormick adds one in the postseason. Nothing pithy to add here.
