Welcome to my first post in what will be a weekly series about the Iowa Wild and the other Minnesota Wild affiliate teams. My goal is to get the greatest fans in the world more information on what’s going on in Iowa and some insight on how the Minnesota Wild prospects are doing. If you want more day-to-day information, give me a follow at @TheMNsportsman.

The season hasn’t been exactly what the Iowa Wild were hoping for. In four games played, the Wild are 0-4-0 with only 7 goals scored and 16 goals against. In addition to that, Giles Ferrell wrote that Raphael Bussieres, one of the Wild’s top prospects, hasn’t returned to the in ice about a week since taking a hit to the head.

If you can’t get enough hockey highlights, news, and interviews, subscribe to IWildTV on YouTube, they have some great stuff and is great way to learn more about the boys in Iowa. Watch this interview with Stu Bickell about tonight’s game against the Charlotte Checkers and his return to hockey in Iowa.

In other Iowa Wild news, Minnesota Wild prospect Corbin Baldwin was reassigned to the Alaska Aces after playing in two games and recording two penalty minutes. The Iowa Wild host the Charlotte Checkers tonight and tomorrow and then head out to Milwaukee to face the Admirals on Wednesday, October 29th.

That brings us over to the Alaska Aces who, like their Iowa Wild affiliate, are o-4-0. Defenseman Quinn Sproule leads the Aces in goals scored with two and is tied with Olivier Archambault and Brendan Connolly with two points. The Aces visit the Stockton Thunder tonight and tomorrow then are off until November 5th where they will host the Bakersfield Condors.
