Iowa Signs Goaltender Parker Milner, John Curry Hurt
Following a busy couple days without a game, the Iowa Wild have announced the signing of goaltender Parker Milner to a professional tryout (PTO). Milner comes to Iowa from one of team’s two ECHL affiliates, the Quad City Mallards.

Through four starts, Milner is 2-2 with a 3.26 GAA and a .904 SV% with the Mallards. Last season Milner made his AHL debut grabbing eight games with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and spending most of the season with the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL. He played 25 games with the Thunder, posting a .909 SV% and a 2.84 GAA.
Prior to going pro in the 2013-14 season, the Pittsburgh native played four years for Boston College, posting solid stats in his junior and senior seasons when he was seeing the majority of the starts. (See the table at the bottom of the post for complete stats.)
According to Tom Witosky, the Milner signing was necessitated due to a John Curry groin injury.
