Shep with major fail. No hockey included this time!

So it appears James Sheppard has taken the easy way out this time. I’m kidding, of course. I was one of the few that actually was going to give him the benefit of the doubt this season. No one can deny Shep can skate. And his physical presence is huge on the ice. And don;t forget the fact he would have possibly had some “real” linemates this season. No Boogaard or Scott. Let’s see how good Koivu would do with that crap, eh?

It is not the kid’s fault that Risebrough rushed him, as he did so many players. He should have been in Houston for a while before having him play for the Wild. I am not going to go on about Dougie. We all know how awful he truly was. Sorriest excuse for a GM since Sutter and Milbury. We all know it. I feel bad for Shep. His year to come out and make us all eat our “dislike.” I believe it would have happened, more so than not.

So where does this leave Fletcher now? Does he go and sign another UFA, or leave it alone. We are far overbooked on C’s, so leave it be already. It isn’t like the UFA pool is overflowing with Cs anyway. Sure we snatched up Cullen, and he was the cream of the crop on July, 1. That’s how bad it is! Does Sheppard even have a job at this point? Silly boy, you should have saved the fun for later. I am hoping he does, because I want to see what he can do on a real line. The kid needs a serious break, and I am not talking knee caps here. Get healed quickly, and show us Shep, I am waiting!

At the same time, it does save Richards from telling him once again, “healthy scratch boy, take a seat by Russo!”
