Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has signed left wing Kris Foucault to a three-year, entry-level contract.

SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has signed left wing Kris Foucault (pronounced foo-KOH) to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Foucault, 20 (12/12/90), led the Western Hockey League’s (WHL) Calgary Hitmen in scoring this season with 48 points (25-23=48) in 65 games. He ranked tied for first on the team in goals and tied for second with seven power-play tallies. The 6-foot-1, 207-pound native of Calgary, Alberta also skated in one game with the Houston Aeros this season after signing an amateur tryout contract on March 24. Foucault tallied 43 points (22-21=43) in 68 games with Calgary in 2009-10 and totaled 16 points (9-7=16) in 23 playoff contests to help the Hitmen capture the WHL Championship.
He was selected by Minnesota in the fourth round (103rd overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
