Prospect Watch: Minnesota Wild Release Traverse City Tourney Roster

According to the official website of the Minnesota Wild, the roster has been determined for next month’s Traverse City Prospect Tournament. The tournament will feature prospect teams from the Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings, St. Louis Blues, Buffalo Sabres, Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets and New York Rangers, in addition to the Wild. The tourney runs September 5th through September 9th in Traverse City, Michigan.

In less than a month, the future of the Minnesota Wild matches up with impending prospects from around the National Hockey League. The Wild’s top prospects will be one of eight NHL organizations in the Traverse City Prospects Tournament, playing four games in five days, from Thursday, Sept. 5 through Monday, September 9 in Traverse City, Mich.Wild prospects expected to participate in the tourney include: F Brett Bulmer (2nd Round, 2010), F Raphael Bussieres (2nd Round, 2012), F Kurtis Gabriel (3rd Round, 2013), F Tyler Graovac (7th Round, 2011), F Erik Haula (7th Round, 2009), Zack Phillips (1st Round, 2011), D Mathew Dumba (1st Round, 2012), D Dylan Labbe (4th Round, 2013), G Alexandre Belanger (7th Round, 2013) and G Johan Gustafsson (6th Round, 2010). Roster is subject to change.The Wild will be in the Gordie Howe Division along with prospects from: Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings and St. Louis Blues. Lining up in the Ted Lindsay Division: Buffalo Sabres, Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets and New York Rangers. The Red Wings will host the event; the 15th time the tournament has taken place. After skating against teams within their division, there will be a championship round on the final day of the tournament Monday, Sept. 9.
