There’s not much to report aside from the fact that the Minnesota Wild aren’t satisfied with last night’s results in Chicago and are sure to come out belching fire against the Blackhawks tomorrow night.
The big news at the moment is that Wild skaters Matt Moulson and Keith Ballard are indeed practicing according to Pioneer Press beat writer Chad Graff after missing a couple games due to injury.
Head coach Mike Yeo is clearly looking to pull out all the stops against a Chicago team desperate to put Minnesota behind them in their hunt for back-to-back championships. The return of Moulson gives the Wild another serious potential goal scoring threat, while Ballard is a solid left-shot veteran defender that also has the ability to play the right side. If he returns, Nate Prosser will sit. With its season on the line, Minnesota could use a hard-hitting, mobile, puck-moving defender like Ballard, who has played well in the limited action he’s seen this postseason.
Tomorrow should be interesting, folks; buckle up.
