There’s no one reading this post that should doubt the impact Zach Parise has had on the Wild since being acquired. He’s an impact player at both ends of the rink, plays penalty kill and power play, and is a leader in the locker room.
There’s little to say about his season that you don’t see in the highlights. The story of the Wild’s entire season is largely told through Parise highlights.

10/05/13 vs. Anaheim Ducks
ANA 4 – MIN 3 (OT)
Parise’s first goal of the season came off a great no-look pass from
. May their magic never end.

10/05/13 vs. Anaheim Ducks
ANA 4 – MIN 3 (OT)
Anyone who loves how Parise plays, loves him not for having
-style “showtime” goals, but for the work ethic and that he always has his stick jamming away at the front of the net.

10/08/13 vs. Nashville Predators
MIN 2 – NSH 3
Another Koivu to Parise goal and the season’s first appearance of Predator boos for

Parise scoring where Parise scores, within three feet of the front of the net.

CGY 1 – MIN 5
Ditto.

11/05/13 vs. Calgary Flames
CGY 1 – MIN 5
That was easily a top goal of the season for the Wild. Parise knew it the second the puck went in the net. That’s why he made the same face as the

11/13/13 vs. Toronto Maple Leafs
TOR 1 – MIN 2 (SO)
Have I mentioned that Parise owns the front of your net? He does. That’s what he does.
#10
11/15/13 vs. Florida Panthers
FLA 2 – MIN 3
I’m starting to think that Parise kind of has a thing.
#11
11/23/13 vs. Winnipeg Jets
MIN 3 – WPG 2 (SO)
Parise grabs the teams first short-handed goal of the year off a 3-on-2, tying the game at two late in the third. Great one-timer off a rink-wide pass from Koivu.
had no chance.

gets an assist by taking a shot off the mid-section. Heatley’s biggest asset might have been his ability to use his entire body to create offense when his stick wasn’t working.
#13
12/08/13 vs. San Jose Sharks
SJS 1 – MIN 3
The Wild needed to bump Sharks goaltender
a bit to get this game going. This was the inverse of that terrible Toronto game earlier in the season. Sharks scored one goal on 38 shots and the Wild managed to get three goals off 13 shots.

SJS 1 – MIN 3

12/17/13 vs. Vancouver Canucks

Again, Koivu. He used to be underrated by the league. Now he’s underrated by Wild fans.
#16
01/28/14 vs. Anaheim Ducks
MIN 4 – ANA 2
GOOOOOAAAALLLL! Wait. What is that guy taking a picture of? The entire rink to remember this awesome tip? Why do we have to look at him?

01/30/14 vs. Colorado Avalanche
MIN 4 – COL 5
#18
01/30/14 vs. Colorado Avalanche
MIN 4 – COL 5
Parise’s second of the night and it’s a great goal. When people undervalue Parise, it’s because they don’t see him do this all that often. They want these high-speed goals. Great shot, nice speed, but his bread and butter is still a small circle around the goaltender like the first goal of the night.

02/06/14 vs. Nashville Predators
NSH 2 – MIN 3 (OT)

02/28/14 vs. Vancouver Canucks

03/03/14 vs. Calgary Flames
CGY 2 – MIN 3
#22 03/11/14 vs. Edmonton Oilers EDM 4 – MIN 3 (SO)
Ummm… this goal isn’t this goal on NHL.com. Just imagine it. It was on the power play. What? You’ve got 28 other goals to watch here.

03/13/14 vs. New York Rangers
NYR 1 – MIN 2
#24
03/23/14 vs. Detroit Red Wings
MIN 4 – DET 3 (OT)
This game was about as good as the Wild looked all year. They were swarming, they looked deep, they played hard in front of the net. Is it October yet?
#25
03/27/14 vs. St. Louis Blues
MIN 1 – STL 5
#26
03/29/14 vs. Phoenix Coyotes
MIN 3 – PHX 1
Yes. Start of a three-goal third that won that game. That was a damn pretty sight.

03/29/14 vs. Phoenix Coyotes

A lot of Wild fans in Glendale, no?

03/31/14 vs. Los Angeles Kings

04/13/14 vs. Nashville Predators
NSH 7 – MIN 3
One last night of regular season fancy passing between Koivu and Parise.
#30
04/26/14 vs. Colorado Avalanche
MIN 3 – COL 4 (OT)
Parise ties up the game for his first goal of the playoffs. It took a little while for it to come, but it was a bullet off a beautiful pass.
#31
04/28/14 vs. Colorado Avalanche
COL 2 – MIN 5
Parise opens the scoring for his first of two on the night. It’s a gritty play from Parise in front of net, like he does.
#32
04/28/14 vs. Colorado Avalanche
COL 2 – MIN 5
Another goal with Parise battling in front of the net. He not only opened the scoring but got the winner in Game 6, forcing Game 7 back in Colorado. Both of his goals in this game came with assists from Suter and Koivu, who got one primary each on those.
#33
05/06/14 vs. Chicago Blackhawks
CHI 0 – MIN 4
You’ll never guess where Parise was when he scored this one from.
