21 Players Added to Minnesota Wild Training Camp Roster

In addition to the 35 players who were previously announced to be at the Minnesota Wild training camp, the team has added another 21 players to the roster. All of the players added were a part of the Wild prospect team roster at the Traverse City Prospects Tournament. (Check out recaps of the first two games, game 3, and game 5.)

Among those added, many were expected as they are already under contract. In addition to those under contract are five camp invitees. Invitees include forwards Ryan Graham and Ryan Walters, defenseman Alex Gudbranson and Hunter Warner, and goaltender Brandon Whitney. Olivier Archambault, Jessey Astles, Reid Gardiner and Andrew Ryan were all released from their amateur tryout deals.

The complete list of additions is as follows:
Forwards: Brady Brassart, Raphael Bussieres, Reid Duke, Tyler Graovac, Kurtis Gabriel, Ryan Graham, Pavel Jenys, Chase Lang, Zack Mitchell and Ryan Walters.

Defensemen: Matt Dumba, Tanner Faith, Christian Folin, Guillaume Gélinas, Alex Gudbranson, Dylan Labbe, Gustav Olofsson and Hunter Warner.

Goaltenders: Alexandre Belanger, Johan Gustafsson and Brandon Whitney.

Training camp opens on Thursday, September 18 with physicals and meetings and the team will take the ice for the first time on Friday. There will also be a practice that is open to the public on Saturday.

In other news that will effect training camp, Josh Harding is injured and likely to be out for months, Darcy Kuemper is still without a contract, and Ilya Bryzgalov is reportedly going to be getting a tryout.
