Alexandre Belanger

Belanger got one start with Rouyn-Noranda of the QMJHL over the last week and allowed six goals on 30 shots in a 6-5 loss to Gatineau.

Louie Belpedio

Belpedio didn’t register a point over the weekend for the Miami (OH) Redhawks, but he did block two shots and took eight as the Redhawks split their weekend series with the University of Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs.

Nolan De Jong

De Jong registered his first points of the season as his Michigan Wolverines got swept in their weekend series with Michigan Tech. De Jong registered an assist in each of the two games and fired three on net in Saturday’s 6-2 loss.

John Draeger

Draeger made his season debut for Michigan State University this weekend as they played a two-game series against Ferris State. Draeger didn’t get on the board, but added four shots and four blocked shots. MSU split the weekend series with FSU.

Draeger had off-season surgery for the second straight summer and wasn’t ready for game action until Friday’s match.

Reid Duke

Duke had another solid week as the Brandon Wheat Kings played four games and won them all, taking down Victoria, Vancouver, Medicine Hat, and the team Duke started the season with, the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Those four wins put the Wheat Kings tied for #1 in the WHL.

Duke had a goal, two assists, four penalty minutes, and a plus-3 rating through the four-game run. That production puts Duke at five goals and eight assists through 15 games.

Tanner Faith

Faith had an assist in the Kootenay Ice’s only game over the last week, a 7-3 loss to the Red Deer Rebels.

The Ice currently sit at the bottom of the Central Division, but will be increasingly tough to play against as 2014 first round draft pick Sam Reinhart should start suiting up for them soon, following his reassignment to the team from the Buffalo Sabres. Reinhart has also been named captain of Team WHL for the Super Series.

Pavel Jenys

The Sudbury Wolves snapped their long losing streak over the weekend by beating the Niagara IceDogs 7-2. Jenys scored a goal in the win and added an assist in the weekend’s first game, a loss to the Sarnia Sting.

Jenys’ two points kept him atop the team in points with 12 points through 16 games. The Wolves lost two of three over the weekend and currently sit at the bottom of the Eastern Conference with a record of 2-14-0-0.

Mario Lucia

Lucia scored twice over the weekend — one in each game, with Notre Dame beating the University of Vermont on Friday and tying them on Saturday. Through the first eight games of the season Lucia leads Notre Dame with eight goals, two assists, and an average of 2.75 shots per game.

Louis Nanne

Nanne and RPI swept their weekend series with Union. Nanne scored a goal and an assist in Friday’s 6-1 win. That gives Nanne three goals and two assists through the first eight games of the season.

Avery Peterson

Peterson scored his first collegiate goal in a win over Cornell this weekend. Through two games against Cornell, the University of Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks won one and tied one, with Peterson grabbing seven shots and a plus-2 rating.

Hunter Warner

Warner and the Prince Albert Raiders played four games over the last week, with Warner getting his second assist of the season, a shot, four penalty minutes, and a plus-1 rating while the Raiders won three of four games. They beat Saskatoon, Kootenay, and Moose Jaw. They lost to the basement dwelling Lethbridge Hurricanes.
