Iowa Wild Release Parker Milner

The Iowa Wild announced late Sunday night that they were releasing goaltender Parker Milner from his professional tryout (PTO) and returning him to the Quad City Mallards of the ECHL.

Milner was given a PTO by Iowa after it was announced that goaltender John Curry had suffered a lower body injury and was considered day-to-day.

With the potential for Curry to return soon and the NHL Wild placing Josh Harding on waivers for the purpose of sending him to the Iowa Wild, the AHL Wild didn’t have a need for Milner any longer. Milner did not appear in a game with Iowa while on his PTO as Johan Gustafsson took every start for Iowa.

The return of Milner led the Mallards, one of the Wild’s two ECHL affiliates, led the Mallards to release goaltender Brad Fogal.
