Justin Falk Returned to Iowa

If you weren’t following along closely you might have missed that the Wild recalled defenseman Justin Falk on November 29. That’d be because he didn’t play that night against the St. Louis Blues.

The team pretty regularly says they’re looking to play tough against the Blues, who are a physical team. But they stood down and scratched both Falk and Stu Bickel for that game.

Now, a day after the team recalled Christian Folin, largely because Ryan Suter will miss Wednesday’s game with illness, the team announced that they’re sending Falk back to Iowa.

Through three games with the NHL Wild this season Falk has averaged 8:29 of ice time and taken two shots.
