Chris Stewart really burst onto the NHL scene when he had 64 points in his sophomore season in 2009-10 with the Colorado Avalanche. Now with the Buffalo Sabres he owns a league-worst minus-30 this season.

It will be a gamble, but the only way to find out whether Stewart’s play is a reflection of the team around him and whether he can bounce back to his old form will be via trade.

His combination of size and scoring ability could provide a major boost to a team in the playoffs. Especially in the west.
