Devan Dubnyk’s TSN Theme Song
If you missed it, on trade deadline day TSN brought in Canadian singer-songwriter Lester McLean to sing songs about players and trades. As happened last year (see below) the Wild acquired a goaltender at the deadline and McLean gave them a song. Take a listen to Devan Dubnyk‘s song below, which trades in on the Dooby Doo Doo-ness of his name.
In case you thought that maybe this was just a one-year thing since the trade deadline was maybe a little less exciting than previous years (which is fair, TSN did a bit about llamas this year…), you should note that this isn’t the first year that TSN brought in McLean to write songs on Deadline Day. Take a look below at McLean singing a song about last year’s Martin St. Louis and Ryan Callahan trade.
More importantly, Ilya Bryzgalov got a song last year as well in a song that really focused in on Bryzgalov’s famous quote about being afraid of bears.
