Earlier today I asked Gone Puck Wild fan’s on twitter if they thought the Wild would score five goals again tonight; Out of 60 votes 57% said no and 43% yes. I’m on the fence about this. I think if the Wild play with the energy and intensity like they did on Sunday they will have a better opportunity to generate shots and hopefully score some goals. One interesting thing I have noticed about the Wild in the past is when they out shot their opponent they tended to lose since they didn’t get the scoring luck they probably should have. Also, I would rather have a low shot count if they are good quality shots that generate scoring chances vs a high shot count of sloppy weak shots.

In order to win tonight the Wild have to come out high energy and focused. They’ll have to start out strong and keep the intensity and energy level throughout the game. It will also be much easier to win if they score first and build on that lead instead of having to play “catch up”. Overall the Wild have a good chance of winning if they play with the same intensity, energy and focus on Sunday and are able to generate quality scoring opportunities with quality shots. They will also have to continue to capitalize on the power play.
