Minnesota Wild Midseason Blues Coming Back
Minnesota Wild Midseason Blues Coming Back
Minnesota Wild midseason blues coming back. For one of the last time ex Head-Coach Mike Yeo met with beat writers Russo and Graf to talk about various things such as Oates showing up to morning skate in Buffalo, Locker room drama because of trade rumors, Yeo’s systems and what it was like to be fired. After reading Russo’s article on what they talked about I think a lot of the Wild’s midseason blues are coming back to light after them being pushed to the side on the four game winning streak.
According to Russo when Yeo was asked about Oates he responded with: “Yeah. I thought we dealt with it. We talked with Zach, and we had no issues with it after that. And talked with some players, and … Whether it’s something like that, whether it’s the trade rumors, whatever it is, when there’s things that might cause a little unrest, they kind of sit there and they hang out. When things are going well, they’re forgotten and pushed to the side. But when things don’t go well, quite often they come back.” and then when asked if it bothered him that Oates came to the Buffalo morning skate [Jan. 12]? he said: “I’m not going to even comment on it. But I would say, that I would not do the same thing.”

The Wild looked similar to the way they did a week ago when Fletcher had enough and let Yeo go last night in their game against the Islanders. They couldn’t capitalize on the power play, were out shot and just out played. That doesn’t mean their season is outright over they are still in position to possibly sneak into the playoffs again this year depending on how they play. Lets take a look at their upcoming schedule:

Next: Minnesota Wild are back at the Xcel Energy Center
The Wild should be able to win at least a handful of these games as long they come out with the intensity and focus they had in their Western Canada series and Stadium Series game. It will be hard with Zucker out until at least Monday (Concussion) and Parise out indefinitely (Upper body).
