USA Hockey announced the rosters Friday for their upcoming National Junior Evaluation Camp to take place 30 July – 6 August. Four players from the Minnesota Wild have been invited to camp for a shot to represent the US in Montreal in December.
The first move to the filling the roster that will represent the US at the World Junior Championship was made Friday with USA hockey announcing its rosters for their upcoming National Junior Evaluation Camp. The group of 42 players was split into two rosters of 21 players, Blue and White squads, who will go through a camp in Plymouth, Michigan from 30 July to 6 August. That list of players is a strong list of the future of US hockey that included four prospects in the Minnesota Wild.
From the Wild Jack Sadek, Jordan Greenway, and this past draft’s first round pick Luke Kunin will be on Team Blue’s roster. And on the Team White roster defenseman Nick Boka will be the lone Wild player.
The two squads will practice and play scrimmages Finland and Sweden for the first three days of the camp. On August 2nd the roster will be trimmed down to one roster to finish the rest of the camp with more practices and more scrimmages with Finland, Sweden, and Canada.

The coaching staff of Team Blue will be former Gopher great Grant Potulny and former NHL standout Mike Knuble. Team White will be coached by former NHLer Greg Brown and Ron Rolston brother of former Wild great Brian Rolston.
The World Juniors start on December 26th from Bell Centre in Montreal, and is a stage that has been known to showcase many of the great players on their way to the NHL. If they all make the final squad, this should be a great view of just how Kunin, Sadek, Greenway, and Boka can play in steep competition against many of the worlds greats from all the different development leagues. The Development Camp was a great way see these Wild players’ talents, but the World Juniors will be a great way to see how they hold up in a competitive game situation.

The World Juniors are a great tournament and the Wild should feel great about their future considering they have the most invitees of the NHL franchises. The Wild and all the State of Hockey should keep their eyes on the camp and then on the Juniors in December and January. It could be yet another glimpse into what seems to be a future that is growing brighter every day.
