We’re at roughly the quarter mark of the NHL schedule, and the Minnesota Wild sit  atop the Central Division standings. The Wild have the opportunity to  build over the next week with their longest homestand of the season so far.

Minnesota has won three of its last four home games overall that includes a season-high seven goals in a win over Dallas on Nov. 18.

A stretch of five games over nine days begins with a ‘Black Friday’-matinee matchup with the Winnipeg Jets at the Xcel Energy Center. The Wild beat the Jets 6-5 in overtime on Oct. 19 in St. Paul, one of eight wins Minnesota has had in games decided by one goal so far.

The latest victory came in a 3-2 shootout win at New Jersey on Wednesday night to complete a three-game road trip in which Minnesota posted a 1-1-1 mark.

The Wild enter Friday with 25 points and lead the Central Division by three points over St. Louis and Winnipeg

The Jets enter the matchup on a four-game losing streak and have totaled just four goals during that stretch.
