Wild vs. Lightning: Mats Zuccarello a game-time decision against Tampa Bay
Mats Zuccarello will be a game-time decision as the Minnesota Wild continue a three-game homestand against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The 34-year-old forward sustained a hand injury near the end of the second period of the Wild’s 7-1 win over Winnipeg on Friday afternoon and did not play in the third.
Zuccarello is second on the team behind Kirill Kaprizov with 16 points. Kaprizov had a goal and three assists in the win over the Jets.
The Wild have seven goals in each of their past two home games and are tied for fourth in the league with the Colorado Avalanche. Both teams have 72 goals. Minnesota has 27 points and leads St. Louis by two points for first place in the NHL Central.
The Lightning enter on a three-game winning streak, including a 5-4 shootout win over the Wild last Sunday in Florida.
Lineups
Zuccarello appears to be the only lineup change for the Wild from Friday’s game. Cam Talbot, who has 72 saves over his last two games is scheduled to get the start in net once again.
