The Minnesota Wild are off to one of the best tarts to a season in franchise history.

Now, the Wild look to continue that play against a squad that has the fewest points in the Western Conference so far this year.

The Arizona Coyotes seem like a potential trap game for the Wild with a looming matchup with the Toronto Maple Leafs at home on Saturday and a road clash with the Edmonton Oilers next Tuesday.

Then again, the Wild have taken care of business against the Coyotes in the past.

Minnesota enters Tuesday’s matchup on a seven-game win streak against Arizona, that includes a 5-2 win at Gila River Arena on Nov. 10. The Wild also are 24-5-3 over the last 32 games between the Western Conference opponents.

Minnesota has won three straight games and have totaled 29 points so far this year. It marks a tie for the second-best start  in franchise history. The Wild had 30 points in 2013-14 (13-4-4) and 29 points in 2011-12 (13-5-3).

The Wild, who have the most goals in the NHL this month, have scored 19 goals in its last three games. That stretch ties the franchise record for most goals in three straight home games per NHL Stats (2/273/6/18).

Minnesota has a 7-2 record at the Xcel Energy Center this season and have won the first two of a current five-game home stretch. The Wild have scored four-plus goals in all seven of their home wins and have  outscored their opponents, 38-19 in those victories
