Minnesota Wild’s six-game preseason schedule consists of Central Division foes

The Minnesota Wild’s preseason schedule includes two games against the team that ended their playoff run this past year.

Minnesota faces the Dallas Stars twice in the six-game schedule that also includes a pair of matchups against Central Division rivals, Colorado and Chicago.

The Wild, who fell to the Stars in six games in a first-round playoff series, travel to Dallas on Sept. 26 and the teams face off at the Xcel Energy Center in the final preseason game on Oct. 7.

The preseason schedule was released on Friday.

Minnesota opens its preseason schedule on Sept. 24 in Denver against the Colorado Avalanche. The Wild then host the Avalanche four days later.

Minnesota also has two games against the Chicago Blackhawks and Connor Bedard, who is the likely No. 1 selection in this week’s NHL Entry Draft

The Wild host the Blackhawks on Sept. 30 and then head to the United Center on Oct. 5.

The NHL is scheduled to announce the regular-season schedule on Tuesday, a day before the Draft is held in Nashville.

Pricing and on-sale dates for preseason and regular season tickets for the upcoming season will be announced later this summer, according to the Wild’s website.

Also on Friday, the matchups for Hockey Day Minnesota were announced. The event will be held in Warroad on Jan. 27. It is the 18th year of the event.

Warroad will face Lakeville North In a prep girls matchup, and the boys games will be Moorhead-Wayzata and Warroad-Roseau.

The day will be capped by a Wild game in St. Paul.

“Hockey Day Minnesota has become one of the highlights of our network calendar,” Randy Stephens, the senior vice president and general manager of Bally Sports North, said in a media release on the event . “We look forward to showcasing Warroad in 2024, and their rich hockey tradition and strong community engagement will provide the perfect backdrop for a day of exciting matchups.”
