Brad Richard Returned To Alaska Aces

The Iowa Wild announced today that they have returned defenseman Brad Richard to the Alaska Aces.

Richard was signed to a professional tryout (PTO) by Iowa on December 17. He played in four of the team’s seven games while he was on contract, registering a minus-1 rating and two shots.

Richard made his AHL debut with the Wild on this trip to Des Moines.

In 23 ECHL games this season the 25-year-old defenseman has seven goals, five assists, a plus-3 rating, and an average of 2.74 shots per game. He was also a part of their Kelly Cup Championship last season in his rookie year, coming out of a four season NCAA III career with Hobart College where he was the captain in his final two seasons.

In his senior year at Hobart he was named to the NCAA DIII East All-American Second Team and was named to the ECHL All-Rookie Team last year.

Richard will rejoin the Aces as they take-off on a two week, six game road trip that begins Wednesday against the Utah Grizzlies.
