Minnesota Wild Fans and Writers Wanted – Join Today

Gone Puck Wild is seeing Minnesota fans and writers to join their team.

Gone Puck Wild has steadily grown as FanSided’s home for Minnesota Wild coverage dating back to when the site was first launched in the summer of 2009. The Wild have been steadily growing as a good young team since then – and we are looking to grow as well. The constant has always been our goal here on site: to give you folks, our readers, the very best Minnesota Wild discussion that we possibly can.

With the post season just a couple of days away, the Minnesota Wild are gearing up for their first round matchup –  We’re looking for writers to help us cover all potential angles for the Wild in the coming series and beyond.

Consider yourself a passionate fan? Read us or other Wild sites with regularity and ever wonder if you should write about the team too? Maybe you’re just stumbling across us for the first time and you like what you see. We are looking to add to our staff here on site and this could be your chance to grab a stick and join the team.

Gone Puck Wild is currently looking to fill multiple roles on site, including staff writer roles for the more casual writers just getting their legs under them, and editorial roles for those that want to have more skin in the game when it comes to covering their favorite team.

Writer Expectations

We like to let our staff write about the aspects of the team they are most passionate about. There’s room for those interested in covering any aspect of the Wild. Maybe you’re more of a recruiting junkie and you want to talk about the impact a new signing or trade could have.

Or even just chipping in on game previews, roundtable discussions on staff about how the team should approach the offseason or whether a big move is needed to get them back on top, or helping with a number of other potential story ideas there could be a place for you here on the team.

Writers are asked to contribute 1-2 posts per week. We’ll always welcome more frequent contributions than that, but we won’t require it.

We know that for most this is mostly a hobby and something you do for the love of it. That’s why we do it too, as most of us have families, full-time careers, and/or school to balance into our lives as well (there’s room for things besides sports, right?). This is an opportunity to join a staff of writers here who are just simply passionate about the Wild as we are and want to continue to reach the rest of this great fan base.

Editor positions require a little more effort, with daily content, social media presence, and managing staff writers.  The rewards of running a site are great – as FanSided is a member of the Time Inc. family and our many resources and partnerships make it a fun place to write about your favorite team.

Want to join us?

Applying is very easy. Head on over and complete an application, or click the banner below. It’ll give you a chance to share some insight into your background (prior online writing experience is not necessary but always encouraged) and let us know why you’d be a fit on site, so give it your best. We’ll be in touch from there.

If you have any questions about the roles, please feel free to email kyle.franzoni@fansided.com or timothy.redinger@fansided.com with any questions.
