Minnesota Wild: NHL Releases Full Regular Season Schedule
After the quick glimpse at the home openers that the league provided yesterday, we now know the rest of the Minnesota Wild’s schedule for the 2016-17 regular season.
It’ll be another busy NHL standard season for the Minnesota Wild with 82 games (41 home and 41 away) that will run from the opening game in St. Louis on October 13th to April 8th as the Wild finish up in the Arizona desert.
Some of the highlights of the season are that from 22-26 February the team will have its “Bye Week” where every team in the NHL will have five full days off from games and practices. Also if you didn’t notice from yesterday the season will be getting off to a bit of a late start to accommodate for the World Cup of Hockey that ends on 1 October. Additionally, the All-Star Game is scheduled for the 29th of January in Los Angeles at the Staples Center.
Amazingly the Wild will be playing a franchise record eight home games in a row from February 8th to February 27th, so plenty of chances to see the Wild at Xcel in February. Also look to ring in the New Year with a 5 p.m. tilt against the Blue Jackets on New Year’s Eve. If you were looking a Christmas matchup sorry this isn’t really your year as the Wild will be out of the State of Hockey from 22nd of December till the 29th.
