Two Minnesota Wild forwards, and the team overall, look to continue a hot stretch of play into a first-ever visit into UBS Arena  for a Sunday night matchup against the New York Islanders.

Kevin Fiala and Mats Zuccarello both own personal 10-game point streaks to lead a Wild squad that has won four straight games and picked up at least a point in the last eight.

Minnesota opened a weekend trip to New York City with a 3-2 comeback win over the New York Rangers on Friday. The Wild ow looks to complete a season sweep of the Islanders after a 5-2 win over New York on Nov. 7 in St. Paul.

Minnesota is 6-7 in 13 road games all-time against the Islanders.

With a point against the Islanders, the Wild would match the nine-game streak it achieved over late November into early December. Minnesota sits in fourth place in the Central Division with 55 points, just two behind the St. Louis Blues who have played five more games.

The red-hot Colorado Avalanche, who have won nine straight games, lead the division with 65 points.

Fiala and Zuccarello both scored on Friday and Zuccarello also added an assist. He has scored multiple points in each of the past six games.

Kirill Kaprizov also had a point in the Rangers win and has 14 points overall in January and has at least one over the past six games. He has registered in this month.

The Wild will be without one of their assistant captains against the Islanders, and Kaapo Kahkonen, who has been on a tear as well, will get the start in net to complete the team’s weekend trip to New York City.
