The Minnesota Wild were always going to be in for a tough first-round, as it was essentialy locked in months ago that they would be facing the Dallas Stars. That's what happens when the Central Division was led by the Colorado Avalanche all season long. On Saturday, the Wild had a must-win game, as they trailed 2-1 in the first-round series.

Trailing 2-1, Marcus Foligno tied things up with over five minutes left in regulation to send the game into overtime. With both teams giving it their best shot in overtime, forward Matt Boldy brought an end to it with just 29 seconds left after deflecting a slap shot from Jared Spurgeon. With that, the series was officially tied at two games apiece.

Boldy has already had huge moments this year, especially after helping Team USA win the gold medal in the Winter Olympics. So it's no shock that Boldy had a game-winning goal in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Speaking on Boldy's game-winning goal, Foligno had a simple description for the forward, and it's, "he's that guy."

Marcus Foligno calls Matt Boldy 'that guy' after Game 4 heroics

"That's the type of player you build teams around. He's that guy," said Foligno. "He doesn't pout, whine and he just takes it and goes. We saw him in the first shift, first period, he goes and hits a guy, too, and that just fires us up. [Boldy] plays a big man's game and that's what his whole career is going to be around."

The Wild need their stars to step up, especially in this series against the Stars, who are a more than formidable opponent. To make it to the Stanley Cup Final for the first time in franchise history, that have to endure possibly the toughest path in recent memory. From the Stars, to the Avalanche, who swept the Los Angeles Kings, and whichever team makes it out of the other side of the Western Conference bracket. Boldy has stepped up.

Boldy had a hell of a playoff performance last season, scoring five goals and recording two assists in a six game series loss to the Vegas Golden Knights. Thus far in this series, Boldy is tied for most goals on the team with three alongside Brock Faber and Joel Eriksson Ek. Besides the overtime winning goal, Boldy's other two goals arrived in the Wild's dominating 6-1 win in Game 1.

The Wild have the chance to take the series lead over the Stars on Tuesday night. We'll see if Boldy can make it with a point in four of five games in this series.
