The Minnesota Wild had an eventful start to training camp, as reports of Kirill Kaprizov turning down an eight-year, $128 million contract extension had fans nervous. But it's not all doom and gloom regarding contract negotiations. The focus now is on the upcoming season, where the Wild hope to make it to the second round for the first time since 2015.

While there are other teams like the New York Rangers and Detroit Red Wings are celebrating their 100th, or centennial, seasons, the Wild are celebrating their 25th season. On Thursday, the Wild unveiled a surprise for their fans.

The Wild officially unveiled their 25th anniversary jerseys, which are white sweaters with the original Wild script and font, and the addition of gold accents to commemorate the anniversary.

Wild fans go crazy over new 25th anniversary jersey unveiling

Let's take a look at some of the reactions from Wild fans over the reveal of these new jerseys, which pay homage to their original uniforms ahead of their 25th season.

These jerseys will be worn for four home games this upcoming season, including the home opener against the Winnipeg Jets on Oct. 28.

The Wild have gone through a variety of different uniforms throughout their existence. There were the retro-themed red sweaters, the green sweaters with "Minnesota Wild" in script lettering, the green jerseys with the Wild logo and a cream stripe in the center, and finally, the uniforms with the Minnesota North Stars' green and yellow color scheme.

Sometimes, it's hard to beat the classics. So going back to the original style of sweaters has been a welcome sight for Wild fans.

For fans looking to secure one of these 25th anniversary jerseys, you don't have to wait long. They officially went on sale at the Minnesota Wild's Hockey Lodge in St. Paul, Minn., and on shop.nhl.com at 11 a.m. local time. The Fanatics "breakaway jerseys" run for $174.99, while the "premium jerseys" run for $229.99.
