Iowa Wild Recall Brad Richard, Parker Milner
With the Minnesota Wild recalling John Curry, Jordan Schroeder, and Jonathon Blum on Thursday, the Iowa Wild have recalled defenseman Brad Richard from the Alaska Aces and goaltender Parker Milner from the Quad City Mallards.
It was only Tuesday when Iowa returned Richard to Alaska in advance of their seven-game road trip that started with a 5-3 win over the Utah Grizzlies last night. Richard scored a shorthanded goal and was named the second star of the game in that match.

Richard made his AHL debut on his month-long stay with Iowa before his return to the ECHL on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old Milner is being called up to replace John Curry, whose services are required with the NHL Wild again as Darcy Kuemper has been sidelined by a lower body injury. He’ll be out at least a week after being placed on injured reserve Thursday.
Milner is on his third call up to Iowa this season, but has yet to play a game for the Baby Wild. On Thursday, not only was Milner given the call-up, but he was named an alternate member of the 2015 ECHL All-Star Game.
Milner made his pro debut last season, playing eight games for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
If Kuemper is only out the minimum of seven days he must be out after being placed on IR, then Milner will be on the Iowa roster for three games, Friday’s match against the Texas Stars and Saturday’s against the San Antonio Rampage, then the first home game since December 29 on the 13th against the Chicago Wolves. With the extra focus on development in Iowa, it wouldn’t be surprising if Johan Gustafsson was given the back-to-back and Tuesday’s game against Chicago. However, having a back-to-back in there does increase Milner’s chances of making his Iowa Wild debut.
