Alaska Aces Trade For Dean Chelios, Landon Oslanski
The Alaska Aces made a pair of trades on Thursday, as the team heads into the final stretch of the season just outside of the playoff picture. In the first move of the day, the team acquired defenseman Landon Oslanski from the Missouri Mavericks.
The 22-year-old defenseman is 5’10” and 190 pounds. This is Oslanski’s second year in the ECHL. He moved to the Stockton Thunder after four seasons in the WHL, primarily spending time with the Lethbridge Hurricanes. He started this season with the Rapid City Rush and was traded to Missouri, where he played just five games before being moved to the Aces. He was a part of the 2014-15 ECHL All-Star Team with former Aces forward Olivier Archamabult, who has been playing with the Iowa Wild for the better part of the last couple months.

On the whole, Oslanski has seven goals and 19 assists through 58 games this season.
In return the Aces sent 26-year-old forward Tyler Currier to Missouri. He played with the Mavericks in the CHL last year. (The Mavericks was one of the teams the He is an Anchorage native who played NAHL and NCAA hockey in Alaska. He had a goal and three assists on the year.
In their second trade of the day, the Aces acquired 25-year-old forward Dean Chelios from the Indy Fuel in exchange for defenseman Quinn Sproule.
Chelios is the son of NHL great Chris Chelios and has posted two goals and 12 assists on the season.
