Despite being born and raised in Edmonton, AB, Canada, Cody has a chosen allegiance to the State of Minnesota and most of it's sports team. The largest of those being the Wild. Cody has taken numerous trips to the Twin Cities to attend Wild, Twins, and Vikings games, as well as always attending Wild games against the Oilers in Edmonton. Cody has even made friends in Minnesota, which he has referred to as his second family. Even going as far as having a Minnesotan stand as Groomslady at his wedding.
